Colin Campbell – De Arte Magica

A collection of personal commentary
by author Colin D. Campbell
on the Western Magical Tradition

Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.

Thank you for visiting De Arte Magica, a page dedicated to my own peculiar brand of esotericism and philosophy.

So what is this Magickal Art? In a genre full of benevolent spiritual guides and equally horrifying bogeymen, it is, to me, quite simple: Magick is Psychology. It is precisely “all in your head.” Simply put:

The techniques of ceremonial magick are intended
to incite a predisposition of the mind.

This sort of leverage in manipulating our grey matter is a vitally important component to self exploration and personal growth. I hope to cover this thesis more in depth, directly or indirectly, through the various themes in this site, each pertaining to the disciplines – traditional and not so traditional – of this Art.

Do note that if you were looking for information about Crowley’s treatise, ‘De Arte Magica,’ a work on sexual alchemy, it is not here. It is perhaps the one topic I do not intend to cover explicitly herein. If you are interested in such topics, I suggest going here and following such instruction as might be provided.

Lastly, the opinions expressed herein are solely my own. They do not reflect or otherwise infer the opinions of any individuals or organizations I may be associated with. It is highly likely that even I don't even agree with everything I write.

Love is the law, love under will.
