Please read the following instructions very carefully before applying HerbVeil 8 and HerbVeil Creme. Do not, in any way, deviate from these instructions; they are provided for your safety. If you have any questions after a thorough reading of these instructions, please call Viable Herbal Solutions for clarification or additional literature.
(1) PREPARATION: Before using HerbVeil products, the user may want to have a biopsy or other diagnostic procedure performed to ascertain whether or not there is, in fact, abnormal skin present.
Upon observing that you have a mole or similar skin marking that is growing and/or getting darker, you may elect to use HerbVeil 8 salve on the affected area. Because HerbVeil 8 is selective in its action, the product will affect only neoplastic (abnormal) skin tissue; there is no danger, toxic or otherwise, in applying the product to healthy tissue. Healthy surrounding tissue may, however, develop a mild irritation, or 'reddening', during product use.
HerbVeil 8 is not for oral consumption. Apply to the lips, if necessary, but not directly into the mouth. Never apply the product near mucous membranes: do not apply too close to the eyes, anus, and genital areas - that is, any closer than one-half (1/2) inch away. HerbVeil 8 is not intended for use on skin-burned tissue, nor open wounds that are caused by puncture or penetration by an intruding object - that is, a cause other than the invasiveness of the neoplasm itself.
(2) APPLICATION: HerbVeil 8 comes in a 1/2 oz. glass vial. The product is a salve, and has the consistency of a thick, moist paste. It can easily be self-applied in a few minutes by using a standard household cotton swab. The salve should be applied directly to the lesion, or neoplastic tissue, in a thin coating, almost lightly 'caked', with a slight overlap onto the surrounding healthy tissue. Be sure to wash hands thoroughly both before, and after, applying HerbVeil 8. Properly discard the cotton swab after use.
The applied area of the skin will start to 'tingle' shortly after application - sometime between five (5) minutes and six (6) hours after initial use, depending on the sensitivity of the skin and the severity of the abnormal tissue. In some cases, there may be a 'burning sensation' associated with initial use of the product, and this is acceptable. Normal over-the-counter products such as ibuprofen, or other non-prescription pain killers, can be used to minimize this affect. It is also a good idea to place a clean bandage over the application area, particularly if the forming eschar is in a position of the body that may be subject to being bumped or bruised in the course of normal daily activity.
(3) MANAGING THE ESCHAR: About 24 hours after initial application of the product, remove the bandage. Using standard rubbing alcohol and a clean cotton swab, very lightly wipe the surface of the lesion, removing any excess HerbVeil 8 as possible, and also other visible organic debris (i.e. pus, fluids, etc.). Do not cause yourself excessive pain or discomfort by trying to completely remove the excess HerbVeil 8 salve - a small amount of excess residue will not affect the application of the HerbVeil Creme. Re-coat the surrounding skin area (but not the eschar itself) with a light layer of HerbVeil Creme, and re-cover with a clean bandage. Only a very light layer of the HerbVeil Creme is required to provide full effectiveness of the product.
Typically, the bandage can be left on the application area for up to five (5) days before requiring replacement. However, in cases where there is considerable drainage (a steady emission of fluids and/or pus), more frequent bandage replacement may be required. Because HerbVeil 8 attacks the abnormal cells, the body naturally generates certain leukocytes (defending white blood corpuscles), thus resulting in some amount of drainage in the affected area. HerbVeil 8 is a suppurative agent - in the process of eliminating the neoplasm, the product also purges some of the leukocytes, and therefore the presence of drainage should be considered normal. The range of possible bodily responses to the product's application could be either a slight amount of pus (to which a single bandage is required), or perhaps a more frequent drainage (which necessitates a regular change of bandages) as with advanced melanoma cases. Regardless of the number of bandage changes required, the user should re-coat the surrounding skin area (but not the eschar itself) daily with a light layer of HerbVeil Creme to enhance the healing process, while protecting the treatment area from infection.
(4) REMOVING THE ESCHAR: The eschar itself represents the 'death' of the neoplasm, and this will occur shortly after initial application of HerbVeil 8. Each biological action that follows is a result of the body's own natural reparative processes. This will proceed for several weeks (perhaps months in severe cases).
At an appropriate point in the rehabilitative process, the eschar (scab) will detach from the skin - this usually happens within ten (10) days after initial application, unless the case is advanced and/or the lesion covers a large area of the body. As with any scab, let it 'fall out' when it is ready to do so. Do not pull it out prematurely, although you may find that it will eventually be attached by a small thread of skin, which can easily and safely be severed.
(5) THE HEALING PROCESS: After the eschar comes out of the skin, the remaining pit (cavitation) may look raw and 'unsightly'. A light coat of the HerbVeil Creme applied daily (in, and around, the cavitated area) will promote the natural healing process. Keep the treatment area covered while continuing the daily application of HerbVeil Creme, and maintain good hygiene practices to ward off any threat of secondary infection.
Over a period of a few months, or in some severe cases a few years, the body will continue to heal the entire tissue area with only some 'depigmentation' or scar tissue remaining. This result is never more unsightly or un-aesthetic than if surgery had been chosen as an alternate method of treatment. Once HerbVeil 8 and HerbVeil Creme have treated the tissue area, there are no residual cells from the original neoplasm.
