Its no bother at all Joanna. Yes, Baldur was also known as "The Shining God", I believe. In the 12th and 13th centuries especially there was much correlation between him and Christ by both pagans and Christians alike. He was considered to be the most beautiful of the gods. I have to take off to work right now, but when I get back this afternoon I will pull out all of my documentation and make sure everything is accurate and factual.
Oh real quick- heres something interesting- another direct link between Christ and Baldur.... After Ragnarok and most of the old Gods are dead, the myth says that Baldur will return from Hel,(A 'ressurection' of sorts) and he will take his father Odin's place and lead the new earth. Very interesting stuff isn't it? I'll get on this as soon as I come home from my pain in the ass job! HA!
Take care! By the way- any small request from my Commanding Officer's wife is never a bother. Besides, after 20 years of service, perhaps Jeff will give me a pension... :) Just kidding sis! Talk to you tonight.

Subject: Sorry to bother you again
Hello Bill,I am sorry to bother you again. But, I was wondering if you can help me. =)I am still doing that paper for my Mythology class. But I was told that Baldur ( idk how to spell it) is more "christ like"and I was hoping that you can help me.I have to have a 5000 word paper wrote to answer this question.
Compare at least TWO different mythical heroes, one from each culture of your own choice.(A) Identify similarites and differences in the personalities and adventures of yourrespective heroes.(B) Try to account for these similarities and differences. If you can't do it, thats ok. If you can..=)Jeff and I will buy your dinner after the March in D.C.Thank YouJoanna Schoep
