Understanding cables

ΒΆ1. On November 1, Polcouns and poloff delivered talking 
points (reftel) condemning Iranian President Ahmadi-Nejad's 
call for the destruction of Israel to Amb. Mario Rivera Mora, 
GOES Ministry of Foreign Affairs Multilateral Affairs 
Director.  Poloff further asked Rivera to have the GOES 
consider making public statements condemning Ahmadi-Nejad's 
pronouncements.  Rivera said that the GOES understood the 
seriousness of the statements made by the Iranian President 
and would transmit our demarche to the Foreign Minister.
