ΒΆ1.  We have conveyed points in Reftel regarding the upcoming 
U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL) hosted Asia Pacific 
Economic Cooperation (APEC) Conference, Strategies for 
Workforce Development: Keys to Success, to be held in Hanoi, 
Vietnam on September 18-20, 2006 to the following officials 
and members of their staff from the Government of Indonesia 
Ministry of Manpower: Tjepi F. Alowie, Head of Manpower 
Research and Development Agency; I Gede Made Arka, Director 
General for Overseas Manpower Placement and Development; 
Marudin Simanihuruk, Director General for Manpower 
Supervision and Development; and Muzni Tambusai, Director 
General for Manpower Industrial Relations.  In addition, we 
have invited Sofyan Wanandi, Chairman, Indonesian Employers 
Association either to participate or designate a 
representative.  We will inform USDOL as soon as 
participants are confirmed and if requests for funding are 
received.
