Understanding cables
Every cable message consists of three parts:
  • The top box shows each cables unique reference number, when and by whom it originally was sent, and what its initial classification was.
  • The middle box contains the header information that is associated with the cable. It includes information about the receiver(s) as well as a general subject.
  • The bottom box presents the body of the cable. The opening can contain a more specific subject, references to other cables (browse by origin to find them) or additional comment. This is followed by the main contents of the cable: a summary, a collection of specific topics and a comment section.

If you find meaningful or important information in a cable, please link directly to its unique reference number.     1.  The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) 
informed Embassy's Blue Lantern officer that unmanned aerial 
vehicle (UAV) parts under license 05-879186 that were shipped 
from the United States on September 29, 2003 were received 
and checked by reftel recipients.  All but one canceled item 
were accounted for.  The MFA provided an inventory listing 
substantiating UAV parts received and indicated that an order 
for part number UXP31013, for "shocks", fitting a GNAT-750 
model was canceled and the item not supplied. 
 
     2.  Post will fax the list of received/stored items to 
Blue Lantern Coordinator Anna Magoulas.
