Understanding cables
Every cable message consists of three parts:
  • The top box shows each cables unique reference number, when and by whom it originally was sent, and what its initial classification was.

If you find meaningful or important information in a cable, please link directly to its unique reference number. Linking to a specific paragraph in the body of a cable is also possible by copying the appropriate link (to be found at theparagraph symbol). 1.  We delivered reftel demarches on October 19 to Ikhsan 
Baidirus, Deputy Director General for International Affairs, 
and Inda Mekawati Perdanaputra, Assistant Director for 
International Affairs, in the Ministry of Communications and 
Information Technology, Directorate General of Post and 
Telecommuncations. 
 
2.  Baidirus and Mekawati said that Minister of 
Communication and Information Technology Sofjan Djalil will 
head the Indonesian Delegation to the International 
Telecommunication (ITU) Plenipotentiary Conference on 
November 6, and that the delegation will number 
approximately 40 persons.  Baidirus and Mekawati also 
advised us that the GOI will give full consideration to the 
two requests set forth in the demarches, regarding the U.S. 
candidacy for election to the ITU council, and the candidacy 
of Julie Zoller for election to the Radio Regulations Board. 
However, they did not commit to supporting the candidacies.
