Understanding cables
Every cable message consists of three parts:
  • The top box shows each cables unique reference number, when and by whom it originally was sent, and what its initial classification was.
  • The middle box contains the header information that is associated with the cable. It includes information about the receiver(s) as well as a general subject.

ECON Counselor delivered reftel demarche April 15 to Niklas Wiberg, 
Deputy Director in the Security Policy Department's 
Counter-Terrorism Unit at the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs 
(MFA).  Wiberg commented that it was interesting to learn that the 
U.S. is encouraging Bahrain to consider hosting/proposing an 
activity in 2008-2009.  Post has also shared reftel demarche with 
Mats Nystrom, Bahrain desk officer; Asa Gustafsson, Deputy Director, 
Department for Disarmament and Non-Proliferation; and Jorgen 
Persson, Deputy Director, Department for Disarmament and 
Non-Proliferation at the MFA.
