Understanding cables
Every cable message consists of three parts:
  • The top box shows each cables unique reference number, when and by whom it originally was sent, and what its initial classification was.

If you find meaningful or important information in a cable, please link directly to its unique reference number. Linking to a specific paragraph in the body of a cable is also possible by copying the appropriate link (to be found at theparagraph symbol). 1.  Embassy Kabul welcomes Senator Chuck Hagel, Chairman, 
Subcommittee on International Economic Policy, Staff members 
Lou Ann Linehan, Rexon Ryu, and Eric Rosenbach, and DOD Cdr. 
Steve Vahsen, and grants country clearance for their visit to 
Afghanistan on April 13-14, 2006, to conduct political, 
security and economic consultations with the government of 
Afghanistan.  Control Officer is Angus Simmons, Political

travelers should bring USG ID for identification purposes and 
to obtain an Embassy ID. 
 
2. Embassy Kabul will provide transportation, security,

Eric Rosenbach. 
 
4. Post recommends all travelers to review information about
