Understanding cables

1. The Ambassador May 17 shared reftel demarche concerning 
the World Health Assembly (WHA) draft resolution on smallpox 
eradication with Health Minister Nada Haffadh.  Minister 
Haffadh expressed interest in the subject and said she would 
convey the information to Health Ministry Director of Public 
Health and WHA delegate Dr. Sameer Khalfan. 
 
2. Econoff May 16 also delivered the points to MFA Director 
of International Organization Affairs Ghassan Shaikho. 
Shaikho appreciated receiving the information and said he 
would consider the points.
