Understanding cables
Every cable message consists of three parts:
  • The top box shows each cables unique reference number, when and by whom it originally was sent, and what its initial classification was.

(SBU) Per request refmail, Mission has conveyed to the 
government of Indonesia USG's invitation to a luncheon for 
the seven member states of ASEAN that will attend the meeting 
of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) in Sydney. 
Mission informed Harry Purwanto, Director for North American 
Affairs at the Department of Foreign Affairs, by telephone 
and by fax on August 22.  Ambassador Hume sent a letter to 
Indonesian Foreign Minister Wirajuda on August 22 conveying 
the information.  A copy of that letter will be sent to 
Presidential Adviser Dino Djalal in President Yudhoyono's 
office. 
HUME
