Understanding cables
Every cable message consists of three parts:
  • The top box shows each cables unique reference number, when and by whom it originally was sent, and what its initial classification was.

PERSONNEL TO ATTEND FIREARMS TRAINING AT CAMP WATAN 
 
1.  This is an action request - see paragraph 2. 
 
2.  In order to comply with Leahy human rights vetting requirements, 
this cable forwards the names of 11 Afghan nationals in the 
Presidential Protective Service (PPS) selected to attend firearms 
training at Camp Watan.  Post possesses no derogatory information on 
these individuals.  Post requests Department's review of these 
candidates by January 15, 2007.
