Understanding cables

 1. (U) Per reftel, Ambassador briefed Foreign Minister 
Insanally on the IAEA's reporting of Iran to the UN Security 
Council during February 15 meeting on another matter. 
Ambassador provided copies of President's and Secretary's 
statements. 
 
2. (U) Post will forward any response by the Government of 
Guyana. 
 
3. (SBU) FM Insanally expressed his disappointment at the 
strong language coming from Ahmadi-Nejad, saying that Iran 
may box itself in with such unhelpful extremism.
