Understanding cables

ΒΆ1.  (SBU)  German MFA Iran Desk Officer Adrian Pollmann told 
Iran Watcher July 1 that Germany planned to take "nearly the 
same" actions as the USG (reftel) regarding Iranian 
senior-level attendance at the AU Summit.  Pollmann added 
that July 1 press reports indicated that Iranian President 
Mahmoud Ahmadi-Nejad had cancelled his participation in the
