Beam Me Up, Scotty

There was an episode of Star Trek, about midway through its run, entitled "Mirror, Mirror," in which Captain Kirk and three of his crewmembers were transposed into a parallel universe while beaming up from a planet's surface, as the result of a transporter malfunction.  And, since Kirk's counterpart from that parallel universe was simultaneously beaming up to the alternate starship Enterprise, he was similarly transposed.  Problem is, in the second universe, Kirk and his crew were brutal, evil and opportunistic.  The good Captain Kirk was able to swagger his way through fooling the evil crew of the Enterprise in the parallel universe until he devised a way home, but, back home, the bad Kirk and the rest of his landing party were immediately seen for what they were and thrown in the brig, pending the switch back.  

Sometimes I feel as though America has had its leadership swapped out for its evil twin, but few seem to have noticed.  It's as plain to me as the difference between the good Captain Kirk and the bad, however.

There must have been a transporter malfunction sometime during the Florida recount two years ago.  What other possible explanation could there be for the path that America has since followed?

I've said it before:  I believe that history will record that WWIII began with the 9-11 tragedy.  It took a while for the first two major wars to ramp up and both began with much less significant events.  Both small events were followed by military incursions that, at the time, seemed limited in scope and time.

It's not that the coming worldwide conflagration couldn't be headed off; it could be - easily.  However, none of its major players want that to happen.  In fact, it seems inevitable from where we now sit.  The only individuals and nations that don't want war, as usual, are the ones powerless to stop it.

War, like the tango, takes at least two willing participants.  We have more than enough today:  First and foremost, the Israelis; indeed, all zionists.  Arabs - virtually all of them.  America.  North Korea.  Maybe China.

On the sidelines:  a growing contingent in America, much larger than the media would have you believe, probably a majority, in fact.  Russia, surrounded by unstable independent countries, has much to lose in a major war just now.  Most of Europe, at least that part not in hock to America.  Japan.

The blood lust in America these days is palpable and continually stoked by the controlled media.  Led by the evil-twin Administration, America has surrendered both its independence and its security in following a plan straight out of Hermann Goering's playbook.

And Bush the Second, like any wounded beast, is particularly dangerous these days.

Yes, America will best Iraq eventually, occupy that small country and install a "democratic" government (chuckle - America has never installed a democratic government in any of the many countries it has conquered or subverted).  No, it won't be quick or easy.  

However, already we have lost the war, despite the inevitability of its outcome, and that is the problem.  America the invincible, "the only remaining superpower," has shown itself to be mortal.  America has demonstrated how the use of raw power amounts to brutality, at best, thereby squandering political capital piled up through the years.  America has become the world's foremost bully.  And we all know what happens to bullies.  

Bush is well aware of the enormity of his error in execution of his so-called "War on Terror" thus far, both at home and abroad.  Anti-Americanism is the new "in thing" throughout the world.  Isolationism is growing by leaps and bounds within America itself.  Jews everywhere, even in America, are coming in for serious criticism.

Furthermore, Bush is well aware of the dire straits in which both the American and world economies now sit.  Presidents who preside over declining American economies do not get reelected.

Bush knows that, as things now stand, he couldn't be reelected America's dogcatcher.

That's why Bush is especially dangerous.  He needs a "breakout" play, a maneuver akin to football's "Hail Mary" pass.  And he has shown himself willing to risk, even gamble, on a global scale.

For its part, Israel realizes that its days are numbered without a significant reshuffle of the deck in the Middle East.  The Arab population, already immense by comparison, grows at a rate that Israel will never match.  Push the Palestinians out of Palestine today, but tomorrow they will be back with friends.

Muslims everywhere see this as a holy war against Islam.  Like jews, Arabs think racially, not nationally.  Right now, they have been backed into a corner.  The only thing that saves us from them is the fact that they really have nothing with which to fight back but rocks.  Nevertheless, Arabs feel they have no choice now but to fight.  They are right.

As if the current Middle East lineup weren't enough, there is the added wild card of North Korea, which Bush keeps poking with a stick, like a small boy with a porcupine.  First, he named North Korea a part of the "Evil Axis," a comment which made hair stand on end in Pyongyang.  Since then, more than one of Bush's administration officials have come right out and said that North Korea, along with Iran, "will be next," a pledge not taken as mere puffery in Asia, believe me.  Words are strongly bound up in the oriental concept of honor.

And North Korea has demonstrated an ability to reach America with its ballistic missiles, since a dummy warhead from one was found recently in Alaska.  That's the same North Korea that has promised to nuke the West Coast if attacked.  The same North Korea backed by China, which has pledged to nuke Los Angeles if provoked.  The same North Korea that administration officials have, "off the record," discussed hitting with a preemptive conventional bomb strike upon its nuclear facilities.  The same North Korea within striking distance of Guam, where a large number of American B-52 bombers recently were transferred, though beyond the range of Iraq.  The same North Korea whose nerves were set on edge a few days ago by a massive military exercise in South Korea, still underway, undertaken by both American and South Korean troops; the same sort of exercise historically used to mask the repositioning of forces, preparatory to an attack.  That North Korea.  You know the one.

And here's the clincher:  It's in Israel's best interest that America lash out at North Korea just now.  

You see, it is beginning to be discussed openly, even in America's tightly controlled media, that America's "War on Terror," currently being waged against Iraq, is really on behalf of Israel.  Striking North Korea would have the effect of shutting down that sort of talk altogether.  Zionists are firmly in control of America.  What is good for Israel is just what America does these days.  It will be good for Israel to shut down its critics.  And now you know why we're going to bomb North Korea.  Second verse, same as the first:  it's for Israel.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, will be that.  The spark that sets off the powderkeg.  The powderkeg that so many actually seem to want blown up.

Now you know exactly why I say that history will record that WWIII has already begun.

It is said by psychologists to be a common fantasy of children who don't "fit in" that they imagine the day when the mother ship will come back to gather them up and return them to their home planet.

I'm ready.

Beam me up, Scotty.
