(1869-?). Knudsen was born in Hawaii on May 28, 1869, and joined the Theosophical Society (TS) in February 1897. He was the National Lecturer of the American Section from 1900-1920, and was the Dean of the Krotona Institute of Theosophy from 1914-1920. He played a role in the establishment of the Krotona site, searching for the land on which it could be built and contributing $12,000 towards its purchase. He was an early resident of Krotona (around 1911). By profession he was a civil engineer, rancher and agriculturalist. He was the Theosophical Presidential Agent for Asia (with headquarters in Shanghai) from 1936 to around the early 1940s.
