Cannon Ball Travel

Have you read my online book yet? Okay, so that's not the usual way I begin my articles. Come to think of it, I have no usual way to begin my articles (archive of articles). Therefore, this would be as good (or bad) a way to begin as any. Where was I? Oh, yes. If you have read my book, you are already well on your way to traveling. It is your desire that is the main catalyst. This is why so many of you have experienced a travel or two during childhood and even later in life. But these are not normally intentional travels. Often, you are back in the physical before realizing that you were out. With regard to this article, you are still a virgin (you're welcome for that restoration). To intentionally travel, you must add to your desire some easily understood concepts and a strong, focused plan of action. You then overcome the variable annoyances and tada, you're traveling! I can help you with the basics for your initiation. It's up to you to deal with the cat jumping on your head or your mate rolling over in the waterbed or the baby crying or the alarm going off or the neighbors loud stereo or...(oops, sorry, I've heard quite a few). These variables are ever present and require some careful planning to overcome.

Let's get to it. The following "Cannon Ball" method is a pip, corker and yeehaw all rolled into one (whatever any of those words mean). It is an intentional but abrupt method for getting out and away from the physical so that you may live the experience rather than just read about it. Once you have traveled a few times, you'll discover many other more reserved methods that produce a travel.

1. As always, the travel begins with relaxation and reaching the awake/asleep line. I haven't heard any complaints about the tricks I suggest in my book for reaching this line, mixed with the techniques you prefer, so I will assume that you have a good grasp of it. We all know what relaxes us as we lived with us for quite some time, so I leave it to us. The awake/asleep line may be evasive at times but with positive perseverance, you will reach it! In addition, it seems from the majority of your mail and internet calls that the awake/asleep line is more easily attained than I had suspected. As I state in the book, I fell asleep a bunch before I mastered (usually) it. You are all very talented and should collectively congratulate yourselves.

2. Prana (what the? giant shrimp? isn't giant-shrimp a contradiction?). No, not prawn (you nut), prana; the big breath 'a roo that revitalizes the whole of you! This prana, simply stated (as I am a simpleton), is a method of breathing that charges you up, focuses your thoughts and keeps you in control. Now, while there are many techniques for prana, my focus, as always, is to remain uncluttered. Towards this end, I suggest this gentle method for breathing. It does not include the often rapid breathing associated with some techniques and is primarily presented to assist you in remaining alert and in control. Please do not attempt any prana techniques if your doctor advises against them or your health is poor.

As you remain on that awake/asleep line...

*** Breathe in deeply through your nose. Feel your lungs expand to their fullest. This should be done slowly over approximately five seconds.

*** Hold the breath for about three seconds, and then, force the breath out quickly through you mouth.

*** Pause for a moment.

*** And repeat.

The entire exercise should take around ten seconds per cycle and be repeated anywhere from a few times to as many as you feel comfortable with (if you feel winded or light-headed, please do not continue the exercise). The benefits of this easily mastered breathing control will quickly become apparent to you.

3. Now that you are on the line, focused, and charged up, it is time for the final step. Yes, only three steps. Once again, I am following my credo of unclutter. The third step is a shout. A loud, louder than loud and loudest mental-shout repeated over and over and over to your now receptive self. Concentrate the shout between your eyes, at the center of your forehead.

And it goes like this (or similar):

I WANT TO GET OUT! I NEED TO GET OUT! ACROSS THE ROOM! I WANT TO GET OUT! GO! ACROSS THE ROOM! I'M THERE! ACROSS THE ROOM! I WANT TO GO! GET OUT! GET OUT! GO!

If you place your full attention of desire upon these phrases (and/or similar that you prefer) and really "PUSH," putting your whole being into the command (stay focused towards that point in the middle of your forehead), I guarantee that you'll find yourself fired like a cannon ball from your bed. It will likely occur in a very fast rush from your point of concentration. You may at first believe that your physical has suddenly tumbled forward from the bed and through the air, across the room. You may also be initially unsettled by your rocket exit. Good. That is exactly how you should feel. If you force this cannon ball travel properly, you will be rewarded with an experience unlike any other. Yes, it's not a smooth exit from the physical but that comes later. The focus here is to get you "out" quickly and place you a bit of distance from the physical. Nothing works better than a REALLY STRONG PUSH (think of a baby bird "leaving" the nest)! You can do it!

SO START SHOUTING!!!

As always, my friends, please write to me regarding your questions, attempts and successes.

Alan
