The purpose of this ceremony is to assist in the social and emotional resolution of a consensual marital divorce between members of the Church. The officiant may be any member of the Church, although preferably a member of the priesthood who has provided counseling to the couple undergoing divorce. This ceremony should not be performed in conjunction with a Gnostic Mass. It should instead follow directly on a banquet provided by the divorcing couple as a final act of joint hospitality.

I have composed a complete ritual and rubric for this purpose, which I prefer not to publish at this time, since it is presently untested. E.G.C. clergy who have occasion to perform such a service may however contact me directly for a copy.
