Suggestions for further reading

Here are my recommendations for further reading, arranged with the most valuable at the top of the list.

• Yates: The Art of Memory
• Agrippa: De occulta philosophia (E.J. Brill) This is the new standard edition, though that of Nowotny is extremely useful because of the appended facsimilies. The English translation in Donald Tyson's Three Books of Occult Philosophy (Llewellyn) is not particularly reliable, but has not been superseded thus far. Tyson has added an extremely useful index and commentaries.
