Thelemic Order of the Golden Dawn
(Order of the
T.·.G.·.D.·.)
Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.
May there be fresh fever
from the skies! Amen.
When working
with aspirants, we commonly discuss what the practice of magick entails to help
aspirants set goals and formulate their will. This paper has been written for
those aspirants who have not had the benefit of those discussions.
Initiation into
magick may seem elusive at first, but it is readily available to you. You need
no one other than yourself to help you. You are your own (and best) mentor,
guide and initiator. This is one reason why the Order of the
T.·.G.·.D.·.
focuses more on self-initiation, than on ceremonial initiation (though the
latter is also available). You are already spiritually equipped to perform the
work. However, the work requires commitment. Decide this issue for yourself,
but the work takes time and focus. Consider that you are here on Earth to do
this work in your own way. The issue is finding the way, which is part of the
beauty and the adventure of the process.
The practice of
magick involves systematic experimentation which is designed to bring the
practitioner into “contact” with the forces of Nature and aspects of the
Universal Consciousness personified as Gods, etc. Our methods are scientific,
as to how we make contact and come to know these forces and sentient aspects of
Being. This is why magick has been called the “hermetic sciences” or, more
recently, “scientific illuminism”.
Magick is
something which is practiced, like the professions of law or medicine are
practiced. It involves a progressive accumulation of a mass of information by
the practitioner which the practitioner regularly uses in the course of the
work. As the practitioner essentially lives and breathes the work, the work
unfolds, practical experience is gained and progress is made.
Magick is not
hard to do. It is something natural to each of us. Initially, teach yourself
magick like a course in school or college. Methodically approach the subject,
and each topic and sub-topic thereof. You need to start somewhere, so jump
right in. The work itself contemplates general learning at first, and then
narrows as the subjects unfold and become more defined. The Qabalistic Tree of
Life provides the organizational structure. All that you need is available to
you.
In other
T.·.G.·.D.·.
papers, we speak of formulating your Will as to the work to be performed (and
accomplished) during a period, generally a Lunar Cycle at first or a Zodiacal
Sign for those in the Second Order. This is healthy, and will assist you in
asking questions of yourself as to how you can learn more about a particular
subject, when, perhaps, you feel “tapped out”. Allow yourself to be guided,
consider how the material you are being guided to relates to the current work
and the work will unfold.
A true secret of magick is
that, when you focus or meditate on something, say, the Elements, you will
“connect” to them and learn about them. The same is true regarding any other
force of Nature or aspect of Being. This brings us to concepts of “gnosis” and
“testing the spirits”. Invoke them and ask questions. They will respond. But
take each step at a time, and try not to get ahead of yourself. Over-eagerness
can slow progress if you do not comprehend what you are receiving. A subject
will unfold for you when it is your time to learn it. You can possess all the
books in the world but you will not be able to read and understand them until it
is your time.
Through all the
various publications, you have been given a mass of rituals which you can
perform. These are not just physical exercises. You must learn how to perform
them. In our Order of the
T.·.G.·.D.·.
(as in others), we guide aspirants to begin with the Lesser Banishing Ritual of
the Pentagram. This is an appropriate starting point. It provides the
framework to create very special magickal space to aid the practitioner in
making the “contact” described above.
It is beyond
the scope of this paper to provide instruction on the Lesser Ritual of the
Pentagram. This is provided elsewhere, and something for you to systematically
study and practice on your own. By doing so, the formula of the ritual will
unfold for you. However, let it be said here that your first order of business
is to organize the Elements in Malkuth and Assiah. This is the work of the
Neophyte Grade. This is necessary for you to rise to Yesod and into Yitzirah.
From there, the work is to come to know the Elements in higher aspect, and the
four lower Sephiroth of Malkuth, Yesod, Hod and Netzach. This is the work of
the Zelator Grade. The Elements need to be separated and organized within your
Sphere so they can operate more naturally and efficiently. Once this is done,
Spirit may descend in the midst of the Elements to redeem and equilibrate them,
and affect a form of the Supreme Transmutation. This is the work of the portal
grade of the Dominus Liminis. During this process, the crown jewel of your
Pyramid will be forged in far off lands (not by human hands), and you will come
to know Spirit through direct contact. From there, the work is to rise through
the Veil of Paroketh, also known as the Lesser Abyss, into the Second Order,
whose first grade is the 2º Grade of the Adeptus Minor without. At this stage,
the aspirant invokes the Holy Guardian Angel often, with increasing fervor and
regularity, using a ritual whose foundation is still the Pentagram Ritual
(though more developed through the aspirant’s prior grade work). Eventually, as
the aspirant reaches up, wholly enflamed, contact with the Angel is made and the
Knowledge and Conversation of the Holy Guardian Angel is attained. This is the
initial goal of the Second Order, and the beginning of another current of work
on the Solar Plane.
Attaining the
Knowledge and Conversation of the Holy Guardian Angel is something that
everyone can do and would benefit from doing. Use the rituals as suggested.
Practice the hermetic sciences. Experiment. The rites are to be performed with
regularity so you can come to know the different currents and forces. In the
course of doing so, subtle transformations will occur within. You will evolve
magickally and spiritually. Your consciousness will develop in wondrous and
glorious ways you may not have imagined possible.
You can learn
of these matters by studying, doing the rituals and meditating. Many feel at
first that most learning occurs within the temple, during ritual. However, you
will quickly find that every moment is a learning opportunity. You are being
guided and instructed at all times. Hints, or clues, or suggestions are
constantly being provided to assist your progress. You just need to identify
them for what they are. Clarity of thought is required, which requires a calm
mind. You then attune your mind to the work at issue and allow the current to
flow, observing the progressions.
Consider again
that the Pentagram Ritual creates (or gives form to) some very special magickal
space, as alluded to above. This space is a portal to the interior of the
Universe. This is actually the case. Your thoughts, words and deeds in this
magickal space will cause reactions or responses. For this reason, you want to
control your thoughts, words and deeds in your magickal space. Proceed in this
space with reverence and devotion. This is holy work, so approach it as such
and be humble! This is so important. But experiment. Focus on a particular
aspect of your present work. Be careful, again, not to jump a head of yourself,
but rather meticulously take each step at a time. Ask questions in this special
magickal space. The responses will come, sometimes all at once and other times
in pieces. Sometimes the responses come immediately. Other times, they come
later, while you are going about your business outside of the physical temple.
Now consider
that your magickal space is always with you. When you are performing ritual,
you are focusing your attention on organizing your Sphere within your Temple.
You are, however, always in your Sphere. The same dynamic environment exists
within. It simply becomes a matter of focus. Thus, your work in your Temple is
carried on within your Sphere, even when you are not in your physical temple.
The Pentagram
Ritual is a great tool given to assist aspirants in the holy work. Study it
thoroughly as suggested above. Every movement, every attribution, and every
visualization is important. Over time, the schemata of the Pentagram Ritual
will become imprinted on your Sphere, and your Sphere will become more active
and energized by the rite and in general. Mediate on this. If you experiment
with it, and use it as suggested to methodically approach the work, the formula
of the rite will unfold, and you will evolve and progress. This is certain.
A great deal of
guidance is provided in this paper, for all those of the First Order of the
T.·.G.·.D.·.
and for general magickal practitioners. Matters are being directly addressed.
If you try to follow the approach suggested, in your own way, it will assist
your work and progress.
This brings us
to a further discussion of the nature or character of the work. It is holy, as
previously indicated, and it is truly “noble” or “royal”. Magick as a “royal
art and science” seems to have gotten lost somewhere between the crusades, the
witch burnings and the moral judgments of modern culture. A description of the
course of the work may further public understanding and appreciation of the
practice of magick, and encourage others to undertake the work.
Let us begin
with Thelema. The word “Thelema” is multifaceted and can be interpreted many
ways. In Greek, it simply means “will”. This is fitting as the Book of the Law
announces the Law of Thelema to be DO WHAT THOU WILT, that One Great Law of
Liberty, which establishes True Will as the sole standard of conduct. The word,
however, can be further broken down and analyzed in other languages. In Hebrew,
for example, the word AMTh means truth. If written in Hebrew from right to
left, it looks like “ThMA”. To derive “Thelema” from this, we add the letter
“L” (pronounced phonetically as “el” or “le”), which in Hebrew is Lamed and
corresponds to Atu VIII (sometimes entitled Justice). Thus, the resulting word
ThLMA embodies the concepts of Truth and Justice. This provides great insight
into the nature of the Law of Thelema and our Holy Duty of doing True Will. It
is the Way or Law of Truth and Justice.
The nature of
the Law of Thelema is further defined by the two-part phrase “Love is the law,
love under will.” The first part - “Love is the law” - tells us that Love is the
basis of the Law and all of our work in furtherance thereof. The second part of
the phrase - “love under will” - is a magickal formula describing the working of
the Supernals (i.e., the three Sephiroth above the Abyss), and how Will
is expressed through Love. These concepts are of a divine and noble origin,
upon which we of Thelema base our actions as further explained below.
As an aside,
these concepts further distinguish Thelemic Magick (which is a current of true
magick -- spelled with a “k”) from black magic (which is not true magick --
spelled without a “k”). Thelemic Magick, as we have reviewed, involves
expressions of True Will. As you may know or come to know, True Will
always promotes Universal justice, balance, harmony and love, and
inspires liberation and redemption of the Children of Earth. Black magic is not
based on or in furtherance of these concepts. In short, there is no black magic
in Thelema or in our Holy Order of the
T.·.G.·.D.·., nor can there ever be any – none! Our words
are of Light, Love and Truth.
We should also
take another moment to differentiate the work itself from the peculiarities of
the magician. The work we speak of here is, itself, of a holy and noble
character. It is the Great Work. How a magician acts in the eyes of other
humans or based on prevailing standards of conduct may be another issue. There
are characters in every group. Magicians tend to be eccentric. They have their
issues just like any other humans. The ordeals they face in their magickal work
tend to exacerbate their eccentricities. Certain magicians may have character
traits which seem favorable or unfavorable to you. Their personal practices may
not be agreeable to you. This is fine. Do what is right for you. Liberty is
encouraged within the context of the Law. It would seem self-evident that we of
Thelema are not all the same. We do not look the same, and we do not act the
same. However, our work will be of the same underlying character if based on
Thelemic principles.
Now, to do True Will, we
must come to know our True Self, for True Will is the Will of the True Self. We
speak directly regarding these matters, to assist all in attaining.
An aspirant may come to know
the True Self in a journey to the Crown. This is not a symbolic journey, but an
actual journey. It is one of the greatest journeys of all! It is a royal
quest, which has been the subject of many stories of old. First, the aspirant
seeks to know the Crown. There will be many adventures and much to learn along
the way. Then, the aspirant seeks to be “Crowned”. When this happens, the
aspirant will act by and for the Crown, as a representative of the Crown. You
can then see how this holy work is truly of a royal and majestic nature.
In our Holy
Order of the
T.·.G.·.D.·.,
we recommend that you begin a series of workings on the Paths of the Yitziratic
Tree of Life starting shortly after initiation into the Grade of the Zelator.
The Paths are taken in turn, following what is known as the Path of the
Serpent. (Note that the Path of the Serpent does not follow the order of the
Atu of the Tarot, but rather follows a different order embracing all ten
Sephiroth and all 22 Paths of the Tree of Life. See Crowley’s book 777
for more information.) The Path of the Serpent is also known as the Path of the
Wise or the Royal Road of Initiation, which will be referred to here for ease of
discussion as the “Royal Road”.
The work along the Royal
Road has been aptly described in other magickal literature. However, to assist
all in attaining, some additional information, “keys” and ritual are given below
to further the process.
As you may have already
experienced, the work begins with a “calling” or inspiration to investigate the
mysteries of magick. When this comes, embrace it (you are blessed!) and focus
your zeal in a healthy way. However, beware! When you begin to focus on
initiation, your will to be initiated will be tested. This is the case all
along the Royal Road. There will be “ordeals”. These are important and serve
initiatory purposes. However, see the ordeals for what they are. If you place
them in an initiatory context, this will assist you in overcoming them in a
healthy, balanced way using the principles described above upon which Magick and
Thelema are based. You need courage, determination and strength of will to pace
the Royal Road. Persevere for the Crown! It is your holy duty to do so!
Upon initiation
into the Neophyte Grade, you are formally placed on the Royal Road. Once this
occurs, it is irrevocable. The process of initiation has formally commenced in
this lifetime and those to come. May you take the first step on the Royal
Road, and may you be empowered, blessed and protected in the holy work each step
of the way!
During the
Grade of the Neophyte, you begin building your Pyramid, and particularly the
floor of the Pyramid. This is done by learning and taking control of the nature
and powers of your own being, and by seeking to discover your True Will. This
is a stage of gestation. You enter into an embryonic stage to be born as a
magician when the Neophyte Grade is attained upon your initiation into the Grade
of the Zelator. Have fun, and learn all you can during the Neophyte Grade.
However, persevere. Keep in mind what is discussed above. The ordeals of the
Neophyte Grade are very real, and can cause you to question your commitment to
the work. This is stressed again to assist you in identifying the ordeals for
what they, so you can overcome them and progress in the work – victorious!
During the
Zelator Grade, you build the walls of your Pyramid. We strongly recommend that
you consider the symbolism given here and how you might actually do this
according to your own ingenium. The walls are of a substance not made by human
hands. They become portals into the planes. In addition, your Pyramid forms a
“launching pad” for other work. (As a point of reference, this is the same
Pyramid spoken of above in the context of the Dominus Liminis.)
Also during the
Zelator Grade, we recommend that you begin the other work alluded to above,
which is a focus of the remainder of this paper. This other work involves
further travel on the Royal Road. What follows is designed to aid you in this
work, to assist you in attaining the Knowledge and Conversation of your Holy
Guardian Angel and being Crowned in Tiphareth. And so shall we assist in the
creation of a new race of men and women who are initiates governed by the Law of
Thelema! And so shall we assist in establishing the Kingdom of Ra-Hoor-Khuit in
this New Aeon! The work we speak of involves climbing the Tree of Life,
initially from the bottom to the top, by way of the Paths.
In our Order of
the
T.·.G.·.D.·.,
we work with the Paths as a separate initiatory system, which interrelates with
and supports the other Grade work generally referred to above. Please note that
other magickal orders do things differently by integrating particular Path work
directly into the work for a Grade. In our Order of the
T.·.G.·.D.·.,
we do not do this, at least initially. However, there is a natural progression
of things. If you dedicate yourself to performing your Grade work, generally
within the time frames recommended, as well as the Path work, you will be on
certain Paths during certain phases of your magickal career. This will happen
naturally, and will further your progress in all of your work. Guidance is
provided as to how you might do this in the Scroll of the Zelator.
Generally, we
recommend that you take a Magickal Oath to begin your initiation into a Path
shortly after a New Moon, and spend at least one full Lunar Cycle on the Path.
An Oath specific to each Path is available on the Order’s website. To begin
your work on a Path, we recommend that you study the Path. There are 22 Paths,
and each one is represented by an Atu (or Trump) of the Tarot. An initiated
description of each of the Atu may be found (among other places) in Crowley’s
Book of Thoth and in Paul Foster Case’s book The Tarot – A Key to the
Wisdom of the Ages. Crowley’s book focuses on his Tarot deck, commonly
known as the Thoth deck, which was designed to be symbolically in accord with
the New Aeon. Paul Foster Case’s book focuses on the symbolism of his own deck,
which is a modified version of the popular Rider-Waite deck. We recommend that
you obtain both books, the Thoth deck and the Rider-Waite deck to assist your
understanding of this important work. There is common symbolism, and they
supplement each other. Also consider the other correspondences provided in
Crowley’s book 777 for the Path.
By studying a
Path, you attune your mind to the currents and mysteries of the Path. Consider
what is said above in this regard. If you attune your mind to something, you
will learn more about it, simply as a matter of focus. You will invoke, and
there will be a response to your questions. Allow yourself to be guided. Be an
observer of the current of thought which follows.
To take an Oath
for a Path, we recommend that you do so in a properly constructed Magick
Circle. This would involve performing a Banishing Pentagram Ritual, and
purifying and consecrating the Magick Circle with Water and Fire. (Cast thy
circles a minimum of thrice about!) The Atu corresponding to the Path should be
on your Altar. View the Atu. Hold it in your hand. Touch it. Stare at it.
Look at the colors of the Atu. Review the symbolism. This alone will invoke
the Lords of the Path and the energies of the Path.
You may also
perform at this point more elaborate rituals. This is not required, but is
something you can do from time to time (and is recommended). These would
involve a progression culminating in an invoking Pentagram or Hexagram Ritual
corresponding to the Path. (Further information in this regard is provided
below.)
Ultimately,
after your Sphere has been prepared as you deem appropriate, stand at the foot
of your Altar (in west, facing east), and read the Oath aloud, speaking clearly,
and without slurring any words. Then sign and seal the Oath as you know how.
To work with a
particular Path, you open a Portal to the Path. Great guidance is provided
here. To open a Portal to a Path, you simply need to focus on the Path. This
may be done as described above by examining the Atu. However, if you are
inclined to ceremonially invoke a Portal to a Path, you could proceed as
follows:
1. Initially prepare your Sphere, by performing such
banishings, purifications and consecrations, and invocations, as you deem
appropriate.
2. Hold the Atu corresponding to the Path in your left
hand.
3. Trace over the Atu the Pentagram or Hexagram which
corresponds to the Path. These are provided below. May you use these gifts
wisely and well!
4. Trace in the center of the Pentagram or Hexagram the
Hebrew letter corresponding to the Path.
5. While doing so, say something like “By the virtues and
powers of this [Pentagram or Hexagram] of [state the nature of the Pentagram or
Hexagram] and the Holy Letter [state the name of the letter], I invoke a Portal
to the Path of [state the name of the letter and any other description of the
Path you wish].
6.
Still holding the Atu, say by cupping the deck in your
left hand, place your right hand on top of the Atu. You will now begin to
receive reflections of the Path, which is a form of scrying.
7. Calm thyself, and observe what you are receiving and
feeling.
8. Vibrate the Hebrew letter corresponding to the Path as
many times as you deem appropriate to assist your concentration on the Path.
(This can also assist in bringing your concentration back to the Path if it
strays.)
9. Rather than scrying, or as a next step, you may seek
to astrally travel the Path. To do so, project a Portal to the Path, which
looks like the Atu itself. Then, rise in your Body of Light before the Portal
and take note that the Portal is open to you. To reinforce this, you may again
trace before the Portal the appropriate Pentagram or Hexagram, and/or vibrate
the Hebrew letter, as described above. Then, travel through the Portal in your
Body of Light in the Sign of the Enterer, and stop after entry, making the Sign
of Silence, and ask the Lords of the Path to initiate you into the mysteries,
and assist you in equilibrating the energies, of the Path. When you feel
comfortable, proceed.
10. At this point, you might assume any of the figures
shown on the Atu, and otherwise travel the Path. Contemplate its beginning and
end, and related correspondences.
11. When you are done, give thanks to the Lords of the
Path and, if you astrally traveled on the Path, be sure to return through the
Portal and close it by absorbing it in the Sign of Silence. Then, return to
your physical body and end all in the Sign of Silence. Pray. Give thanks.
Close as appropriate.
See also the
papers on the Order’s website on the Astral Plane and Body of Light for more

Meditate on what is given
above. These are no less than “Keys to the Universe”. When you learn how to
use them, they will assist your journey on the Royal Road. May you proceed with
Love under Will, and be empowered, blessed and protected all along your way!
We now take a brief moment
to review the initial journey on the Royal Road itself. As indicated above,
this will truly be one of the greatest adventures of your lifetime, taking you
far beyond your current imagination. It is also a stepping stone for higher
work. Other papers (soon to be written) will describe the journeys up and down
the Tree from an initiatory perspective. However, for now, know that, during
your initial journey, you will enter mysterious darkness so you may find the
Light. Aspirants are advised of this during the Neophyte exam. You will face
many ordeals and creatures. There will be demons to overcome. You will come to
face the Devil of Atu XV, the Holy Guardian Angel of Atu XIV and the occult
Death of Atu XIII. You will learn of self-sacrifice, and the necessity to
proceed in the way of Truth and Justice in all that you do. You will learn of
the Wheel and the Hermit. May you become the Hermit! You will learn of Babylon
and the Beast, the mysteries of the Holy Grail, and further of the Chariot, the
Word and the Sword. You will learn of the Unity of the Mother and the Daughter,
and the Father and the Son. You will also learn of the Mystical Stone of the
Wise, and the Mark of Initiation. You will come to learn of the loving embrace
of Mother Nature Herself, and the constant nourishment and Love of our Lady of
the Stars. Finally, you will learn of the nature of the Magickal Powers of the
Magician, the Mysteries of the High Priestess, and the Journey of the Fool as
you come to reach none other the Crown, the Holy One, Kether. Holy is this
journey and blessed are those who complete it. May you be so blessed!
When you truly
come to the Crown, you will come to know your True Self. When you know your
True Self, you will come to know your True Will. Once you know your True Will,
you come to further understand the Law of Thelema, your obligation to
continually do True Will, your purpose here on Earth and your Great Work.
Literature of
the past has drawn a great deal from this wonderful magickal journey on the
Royal Road. Consider the stories of royal knights and dames, undertaking great
adventures for the Crown. This is truly the nature of the work. O great wonder
and glory! You are undertaking no less of an adventure in climbing the Tree of
Life by way of the Paths. Proceed with Love in your heart, and the Light in
your eyes, but ever so wisely.
The work must
be done carefully, meticulously, and in a healthy balanced way. When on a Path,
you will experience subtle transformations, which build or compound on one
another. The process, inherently, involves an intake of current, equilibration
and evolution. This is not always easy. In fact, at times, it may seem rather
difficult. However, consider everything in an initiatory context, both your
internal and external experiences, as suggested above. This will assist you in
equilibrating and doing what must be done to accomplish the work.
On your first
journey up, it is generally recommended that you spend a little more time
(anywhere from two to five Lunar Cycles, or whatever is right for you) on the
Paths leading to Tiphareth, and on the Path of Maim. It is also recommended
that you complete your initial journey up the Tree during the 2º Grade of the
Adeptus Minor without. This will assist you in attaining the Knowledge and
Conversation of your Holy Guardian Angel, and being Crowned in Tiphareth. Such
holy work!
A few brief
words about magickal literature. First, you may find that what appears to be a
discussion of symbolism is not at all the case. Rather, the writer may be
speaking very directly regarding matters. Magick has its own language. This
is for you to learn. Second, some of the terminology may have the tendency to
repel the reader. This is intended. When it is your time, the apparent
symbolic terminology will be understood and will not repel. May this be your
time!
In proceeding
on the Royal Road, you are undertaking high and noble work as described above.
The work is noble wherever performed, whether in a small room or grand temple.
The Gods care not about these things. What matters is that you do the work.
The World needs
teachers. They assist in prompting those who might listen to contemplate
certain matters. As discussed above, you must focus the powers of the mind on
something to learn about it. Once you do, the subject will reveal itself.
We each have
our own teachers. You are your own best teacher. During your lifetime, you may
find yourself having the duty and privilege to care for others. If you do,
teach them. Prompt them to contemplate the Great Work. By devoting yourself to
the Great Work, you will naturally prompt others to consider these matters and
their own magickal and spiritual evolution. May you give thanks for the Joy,
Miracle and Light of Life by being a source of Light and Love to others!
In closing, we
leave you with another ritual. This is to invoke the 32 Paths of Wisdom to aid
you in your holy quest for your Angel and the Crown. This ritual is a form of
initiation in and of itself.
In the Qabalah,
the ten Sephiroth are called “Paths”, and so are the 22 Paths. Thus, there are
32 Paths of Wisdom in total. All are covered in a progression of 22
invocations.
This rite is
very powerful. When it is your time, you should prepare for it in advance.
Also, you will need to be in top physical condition to perform the rite, as it
requires great strength to complete. It is rightly used by the Dominus Liminis
in preparation for initiation into the Second Order. It is also rightly used by
the Adeptus Minor in completing and integrating the initial work on the Paths
described above. It also has other uses, which you may find.
The ritual
proceeds as follows:
1. Perform a Banishing Pentagram Ritual.
2. Purify and consecrate your Magick Circle with Water
and Fire.
3. Perform the Greater Invoking Ritual of the Pentagram.
4. At the foot of the Holy Altar (west of Altar, facing
east), raise thyself up as high as you can go!
5. Pray to Thy Angel. Speak sweet words for the Kings!
Contemplate the Crown.
6. Cense the Temple, as an offering and symbol of Thy
Love and Devotion.
7. Say – “By the 32 Paths of Wisdom, I invoke Thee!”
8.
Proceed by saying “By the Holy Letter Tau, I adore and
I invoke Thee!”.
9. While doing so, trace the appropriate Pentagram and/or
Hexagram over your Holy Altar, with the Holy Letter in the center thereof, as
described above.
10. Proceed to the next letter, following the Path of the
Serpent, completing the progression to the Holy Letter Aleph.
11. Having invoked, you now equilibrate and evolve, to the
Glory of the Most High!
No closing is
necessary, unless of you felt uncomfortable or had disturbing thoughts during
the course of the rite. If so, perform a Banishing Pentagram Ritual to close.
May this paper
inspire and assist you in the Great Work. May you perform the work wisely,
with nobility, majesty, splendor and grace. May you work in Truth. May you
attain the Knowledge and Conversation of your Holy Guardian Angel and be Crowned
in Tiphareth. May you further evolve into a Mighty Warrior of Geburah and a
Mighty King or Queen of Chesed, and beyond. O great wonder, mystery and glory!
Every
individual on this Earth would benefit by attaining the Knowledge and
Conversation of their Holy Guardian Angel. Our goal is no less than the
initiation of the entire human race. May this paper further this high and holy
work, and bring the mysteries down to Earth!
May you lead a
Holy Life. This can be done anywhere. It does not matter your location. You
do not have to be in a monastery in Tibet or some other holy place recognized by
the public. You are already in your Holy Temple, fully equipped and ready to
perform the work.
Perform the
work for the sake of performing the work. It is your holy duty. If you adopt
this attitude, and work unattached to the results, it will further your
progress.
You are
constantly being guided how to proceed. If you seek to discover your True Will,
the True Self will reveal Itself to you and you will come to know True Will.
When this occurs, resolve your thoughts, words and deeds into True Will. This
is the standard. This is the Law. You will know how to proceed. And may the
loving embrace of the Most High be with you for ever and ever! Amen.
Hail unto the
Crowned and Conquering Child! Hail Nuit, Hadit and Ra-Hoor-Khuit! Hail Thoth,
Scribe and Magician to the Gods! Our love and blessings unto the Nuit!
Love is the law, love under will.
Yours in the Great Work,
Frater ASh AChD (Brian Goldstein)
