It is situated at the See also:foot of the Polau Mountains and near the border of See also:Lower Austria. The Heiliger See also:Berg, in the immediate vicinity, has sixteen chapels, and a See also:church in the See also:Byzantine See also:style. The See also:principal resources are viticulture, the manufacture of See also:cloth, and See also:trade in See also:lime and See also:limestone. On the 31st of See also:December 1621 See also:peace was concluded here between the See also:emperor See also:Ferdinand II. and See also:Bethlen Gabor, prince of Transylvania; and on the 26th of See also:July 1866 a preliminary treaty of peace between the Prussians and the Austrians was signed here.
