KIRRIEMUIR , a See also:

police See also:burgh of See also:Forfarshire, See also:Scotland. Pop. (Igor), 4096. It is situated on a height above the glen through which the Gairie flows, 64 m. N.W. of See also:Forfar by a See also:branch See also:line of the Caledonian railway of which it is the See also:terminus. There are See also:libraries, a public See also:hall and a See also:park. The See also:staple See also:industry is See also:linen-See also:weaving. The See also:hand-See also:loom lingered longer here than in any other See also:place in Scotland and is not yet wholly See also:extinct. The Rev. Dr See also:Alexander See also:Whyte (b. 1837) and J. M.
