A small See also:ridge of See also:limestone hills passes through the See also:northern See also:part of the state, being a continuation of a ridge known as the Ghar, See also:running southwards from Rohri. The state is watered by five canals See also:drawn off from the Indus, besides the Eastern See also:Nara, a See also:canal which follows an old See also:bed of the Indus. In the See also:desert tracts are pits of natron.
